Mobile scaffold for ground floor
Working at ground level — on window frames, a front door or the lower edge of the facade? Then a low working height is usually all you need.
Which working height do you need?
For most jobs at ground level, such as painting window frames, a skirting or a low facade edge, a working height of around 4 metres is enough. That corresponds to a platform height of about 2 metres — enough to comfortably reach the top of most window frames and doors on the ground floor.
Working height is not the same as platform height: the working height is the platform height plus approximately 2 metres of reach of an average adult. When in doubt between two heights, most customers prefer the higher variant, so you don't have to reach or stand on your toes while working.

Frequently asked questions
Which working height do I need for the ground floor?
For work at the height of the ground floor we recommend a working height of approximately 4 metres. For most jobs at ground level, such as painting window frames, a skirting or a low facade edge, a working height of around 4 metres is enough. That corresponds to a platform height of about 2 metres — enough to comfortably reach the top of most window frames and doors on the ground floor.
Which scaffold suits the ground floor?
The following suit the ground floor: Room scaffold, Narrow mobile scaffold (RS51), Wide mobile scaffold (RS52), 1-person scaffold (MiTower).
Is this the exact height, or does it vary per home?
Floor heights vary slightly per home. 4 metres of working height is a reliable average; if in doubt, feel free to choose a slightly higher working height via the configurator.
Do you assemble the scaffold yourselves, or do I do it myself?
Our scaffolds are designed to be assembled quickly and safely by yourself, without special tools. Just follow the included manual. If in doubt, we can also come and assemble it for you.
Can I also choose a lower working height for the ground floor to save money?
You can, but we advise not to cut it too fine: too little working height means you will still have to reach or stand on your toes, which is less safe. Better to choose a slightly higher working height than exactly at the limit.
